Hi all, firstly thx to PCA help me to sort out the FTP issue :beerchug:

My xbox has a philips drive and DVD burner is NEC ND2510A, the xbox wont read anything from memorex's dvd+rw , but it read Datawrite Classic dvd+rw without any problem.(do i have an issue with bitsetting? i got quite a few memorex +rw )

have been playing with my xbox for few days now , I love it (another pC/gaget in sitting room  ) what i want now is to connect my xbox to outside world.
@PCA , notice the XBMC have Xlink Kai installed, if I want to connect the xbox thro' PC to internet do I need d/l the evolution VII proggi from Xlink Kai enable the xbox access to the xlink game server?

No, +rw doesnot have a bitsetting issue, your drive just doesn't like the memorex's unfortunately

Yes, the xbox connects to the PC which in turn connects to the Xlink network.

I've just got my hands on an AR, and should get MA by the weekend.

One question though, what file do I put on the memory card? The ZIP or one of the files inside? There are 2 files called MASave.sav, is it one or both of these?

I've added the whole ZIP, and it looks like this is correct, but I thought I'd better check with you.

The guide starts with transferring the files to the XBOX and doesn't cover what needs to be on the card in the first place, maybe you could add this info (for people like me )?

EDIT:

Also, the manual for the AR I have states "compatible with NTSC TVs and systems only", will this be okay to use for modding a PAL XBOX? If it is, will it be also okay to use with regular AR saves?

Thanks! 8)

Just drag the .zip file over as explained in the above link (hence the reason for linking from the softmod tutorial)

Ah sorry, I didn't go to that link seeing as how I'm not making my own AR. Thanks!

Good point, I'll clarify that in the main post :)

Seems a little tricky to me but hopefully i'll manage so
I will try this with SC part 1 (pal)

Are there any updates on the files I must use ????

I first want to sort out all the things i need before makin an attempt

if anyone can verify that file issue for me, i will start modding :)

cheers

It's really damn easy when you do it right at once. After i modded my own (which went a litte bit wrong), i already modded 3 other xbox's and was done with it in ~ 30 minutes i think. If it doesn't work, PCA is a great help, if he doesn't answer, you can also ask me if you want to (and if your question isn't too complicated, i'm far from an expert  ).

I have FlashFXP, the SC and MA saves and the softmod addon pack all shared right now on release. If you send me a PM with your MSN, i could send 'em to you, would be faster.

I've put all these 4 files back on release. I only took them off a few days ago as nobody was downloading anymore.

I don't always have emule open though now, but I did share these exclusively for ages for anyone who wanted them - as I promised I would, but there were no downloads for a week or so :) Anyway opened emule again!!

:EDIT: Emperor, given you a friend slot!
