yeah, and according to OFDb it was cut. very strangely though:

2 cuts were made in the 35th minute; the first when ash is being kicked in the face by the hillbilly and the second where he's being pushed down in the cellar. but obviously all the gore was left alone...

*edit* just read that four UK video versions are cut like that. BBFC wtf? :moon:

Used to be in the bbfc guidelines, kicking someone on the floor is a no-no. They removed it too. I think headbutts just got removed from the guidelines too come to think of it.

and star wars episode 2, was, spiderman 2 isn't cut anymore I don't think, they just introduced PG12? The dvd got rated 12 anyway. so they just upped the certificate on the main movie.

This spiderman is cut though:

Star Wars Episode II had the headbutt of Jango fett on Obi Wan removed when they're fighting on that little platform. Fellowship of the Ring however had the headbutt left in as it wasn't deemed violent (where as in episode 2 he properly wallops him on the crown of the nose if you watch it in slow motion  )

They just reformed their guidelines and headbutts aren't explicity mentioned, so they will most likely get passed fine next time round.

it was in the times, they had a page taking the piss out of the BBFC.

Including comics like "Zulu isn't quite the same film when they remove all the racial violence"

They've played down some elements but there's some real messed up ones still.
