I only have AUF (sod's law), Halo, Midtown Madness 3 (live enabled) and Odeworlds Odyssey - none of which update the dash.

Looks like I'll have to scrounge another game again.

Thank you for the quick reply PC_Arcade :beerchug:

Hang on a sec, I'll check MM3, 'cos I'm pretty sure it should update the dash.

If not, you can get ftp access to the dash correct?

When I tried to goto Xbox Live with MM3 it just returned me to the MS Dashboard to enter a new user name.

How can I ftp to the Xbox without it being modded?

Just running the mod menu without installing it to your xbox should allow you to ftp.

Thanks D. So which files do I need to copy over to the Xbox to update the dash? Then do I just do the mod as normal, given that the latest dash will work with so an old kernel too?

The easiest way is to back up the entire C: from the machine you're wanting to mod. Backup YOUR C: and E: (excluding the Tdata, Udata and Cache) and ftp it across to the new PC (remembering to swap the fonts for the correct Kernal Version)

If anything goes wrong, just re-load the save, and ftp the original c: back

And that's the easiest way - sorry PC_Arcade you've completely lost me. I think I'll just get a game that will update the dash.

Thanks for the help though.

Got it I think :wacky: The fonts, are these the ones in the 'C:/f0nts' folder of the backup as in 'Xbox Book.xtf' and 'Xbox.xtf'.

No, the font's are in the fonts folder not the f0nts folder and in the root as well IIRC, they're the two (possibly 3) files that end in .xtf

Thanks for that PCA. I haven't had a chance to have another look just yet though (TV rationing in this house). What I have found out by searching is that MM3 is one of the games that should update the dash. How though?? As I said it just drops me back to the M$ dash to enter a user!!!!

AFAIK you just select Xbox Live, it should upate the dash, if it drops you to the dash to enter a username, then you already have a live capable dash.

Hmmm, it doesn't and there is no XBL option on the dash. Another weirdness, I've just had a look for the serial number. All markings have been removed - not just labels fallen off - but physically scraped off.

Upgraded the Dash eventually with MA, modded OK and got rid of quick - still weird why MM3 wouldn't do the dash upgrade though.

Thanks all :beerchug:

Does anybody have trouble creating a bookmark in certain movies when using XBMC?

It's happened to me a couple of times now with AVIs. I select "add bookmark" but it doesn't take. Weird.:?
