When I click on output setting in DVDx program closes. DVD2AVI closes when I start to encode. Any help would be appreciated. :-o

IMO:
Never use DVDx, its crap.
DVD2AVI is redundant, and has been replaced.

Look at autogknot, and if you consider yourself knowledgeable about ripping, gknot standard.

You can find the two applications here, as well as comprehensive user guides:
http://gknot.doom9.org

You should notice a significant improvement in quality when you start using these applications.

It turned out to be codecs. I did a complete uninstall and used K-Lite. All works now. I am going to try Gnot. Thanks.
