i remember that when i watched it for the first time i was still young and i thought it to be quite intense, scary and most of all good. now i think it's just plain boring.

First film that scared the bejesus out of me was a rare little british effort called Screamtime. It was pretty much a Creepshow rip off, but introduced the stories through a couple of guys who rip off a video store and then check out the tapes they stole...

When i was a kid i watched it and had nightmares of that weird lookin serial killer (that a woman in the film was having visions of) coming through my hallway to get me! It had a lot more blood in that story than i had seen before...

LOL the Exorcist made me piss me myself with laughter. I was so revved up to watch it, and it was just funny WTF

Evil Dead was never really scary, even as a kid, but damn it was fun to watch.

On a sidenote in relation to ED, anyone seen Alien Apocalypse with Bruce Campbell in?

The Return of Count Yorga scared the crap outta me and also Salem's Lot, specially where the kid was tapping on the window to be let in!

Tried to dare myself to open the curtains but couldn't!

Haven't seen Yorga since (if anyones got it?) but last time i watched Salem's Lot i thought it was lame.

As a kid, I remember being totally scared by Son of the Blob (aka Beware the Blob). Saw it in a drive-in as a double feature with Godzilla v. Megalon back in 1976. I used to tun down the thermostat on the air conditioner all the way to "discourage" it from coming into the room. Of course, the compressor would run continuously, the coils would freeze up and no air across the coils means the room gets hot again. Total opposite effect, but what the hell did I know, I was just a stupid kid! My dad would yell at my brothers and I to leave the t-stat alone...of couse as soon as he left, I'd turn it back down!

Salem's Lot was probably the best made for TV movie I've ever seen. Still a bit scary today. My wife insists on leaving the closet door closed when we watch it every Halloween. For me, the creepiest part is the gravedigger in the rocking chair in the dark, with those glowing eyes.

This morning around 5:30am when I woke from a bad dream. Can't really remember it but one part was standing in the bathroom and the smoked glass was suddenly clear with a side-on view of something resembling a dinosaur, just like the dino looking into the car (?) in Jurassic Park. Screw that shit. Down with DNA experimentation I say, before that dream becomes real. It WILL happen. Then you'll all be like 'I wish I'd listened to Mantronix, I wished I'd listened..."

You fools. :moon:

The lasttime i was really scared i was lying in my bed trying to come down from a night of mushrooms. When a voice saying i'm going to kill you started registering form my powerless sterio in my bedroom. It said your going to f ing die you sob. And many other colorful dirivitives of the same. I unplugged it. Still it spoke. It got louder and louder. Until the redneck with the cb in his truck pulled up to the stop sign by my house and turned the corner. Apparently sterio speakers can pick that shit up. But little known to my drug befuzzled mind. It was a creepy moment.

no class A is heroin, cocaine, etc.

You used to be able to buy them over the counter as long as they weren't dried. Now there's a jail time attatched to selling.
