i've jus downloaded a rare bootleg of a gig i was at in 88 (been looking for a long time for this) but the mp3 file has ALBW in the title.
this is the 1st time i've encountered this type of wrapper/compression and after a google i have downloaded albumwrap extractor.

the problem is that when i extract the files altho they are correctly named, diff sizes and show diff running times etc when i go to play them they are all jus the 1st file in disguise :(

after another google i have also downloaded a proggie called mp3 trackmaker which doesnt actually appear to be able to extract the individual tracks but turns the thing into one whole mp3 which has the correct tracks in order but only gives a run time of 1h24m when i think that the actual runtime should be over 2 hours

HELP..............

please.......

anyone.....

i'm stumped and so wanna listen to this!!!!!

I would recommend Alba extractor, much more reliable than Albumwrap.

thanks george...think i know wots goin on now....

it shows set 1 tracks 1-9, set 2 tracks 1 & 2, then the 3rd track of set 2 is shown as incomplete and then the rest are not there... :(
the file is ed2k: Frank Zappa - Wembley 19.04.88 ALBW.mp3  [116.70 Mb] [Stats] and is 116MB so i thought would be the complete gig, maybe whoever packed it cocked up?/ maybe it has become corrupted in some way? is a shame but at least i get to hear just over half the gig....better than nowt after all this time

Frank Zappa :beerchug:

I saw him at Brighton about the same time, probly another leg of that tour.

I was so shitfaced, missed my stop on the coach going home and the driver dropped me on a sliproad of the motorway.

Good Night! (From what i remember) :wacky:

havent listened 2 his music for years but revisited a bit lately, and have always wanted a boot of the wembley gig. i was quite excited when i found the mp3 but is a shame most of the 2nd set is missing as he was joined on stage by Dweezil for the encore and they did 'chungas revenge' & 'ravel's bolero' :(
