@Purple, I had seen that post at melonfarmers but somehow I guess this DVD is a bootleg and will vanish from the shelves as soon as it appeared (remember the "18 certificate" Straw Dogs in the late 80's)

i don't think i can give an example of a movie dvd that could be ripped at 29.97fps... 23.976 is the way for ntsc, always !
the only exception is material that comes straight from the video camera apparently

Never say always...I run across plenty of true ntsc material that is not 23.It is just in this case...it needed to be done.
