Well, I just tested it on a torrent from a registered site that has 50 ish peers and just under 100 seeds, I got connected to 46 peers and 87 seeds. No hacking or anything spud, more of an exploit using just a firewall.
Anyways spud, I am in no way tight with my bandwidth, I challenge you to a duel
Like I said, have only tried it on Azureus, but works like a charm. So far it has worked on any torrents I have tried, whether registered trackers or open.
FWIW, I did not come up with this as a dodge, more a case of, as said earlier, an experiment when I was bored.
OK, I will explain, and tell me how simple this is. Just prevent Azureus and Java from accessing the tracker, I just created a new sygate rule that blocked these 2 from the tracker IP, Azureus moaned about the connection to the tracker timing out, but still found all the sources almost straight away.
Speed was max as always, and checking the trackers page does indeed show it records no stats, it had no idea I was grabbing the file cos the tracker was not involved in any way.
BTW, long live ECW.
