Hopping Chinese Vampires | | Ever watched An American vampire movie? most of them are named Dracula or Dracula returns (...again) or the Wesley Snipe 'Blade' movies . Then watched Mr. Vampire and shocked by the great difference between the two? Well I'm going to attempt to explain a thing or two for you. One of the most obvious features of the Chinese Vampire (also know as: Chiang-Shih) is the way form of movement…hopping. There is many stories why Vampires hop, some people say it is they way they are buried, vertically. But the most reasonable and believable way is rigor mortis. Once the bodies is buried and left, rigor mortis kicks in on its arms and legs, stopping making it impossible to walk, so hopping would be the next best thing! Chinese vampires have also have been deprived of their vision, So instead they rely on their sense of smell and follow their victims breath. Uniforms: When you see a Chinese vampire you’ll notice, “why’s he wear those clothes?” Well these are the form clothing of the last Chinese dynasty (Qing dynasty, Ching dynasty & Ming dynasty). The deceased are dressed in garments of the past dynasty as a show of respect to the already deceased. How Do you Stop these hoping beasts!? Well Here’s a couple things. Incantations, a mixture of thin yellow paper and red paint (usually made by Chickens Blood and a single piece of Sticky Rice, mixed together whilst a flame). Once the incantation is placed over the forehead of a vampire, it will sooth the soul and drift them into a peaceful sleep. Sticky Rice is also a good weapon (strangest yet) The stickiness of the rice is lethal, once stood on or flung at, the rice withdraws the evil sprits from the corpse. Blood is a strong weapon too, yes they enjoy, but it is also used to freeze the hopping hell binders! So if your getting chased, just chew on your fingers and slap on the head!
In 1985, Sammo Hung struck upon the idea of a Kung Fu movie with vampires. Acting as producer, he employed Director Ricky Lau and an all-star cast to produce this classic horror-comedy which spawned many sequels and imitators, which can be traced up to the more recent ‘Blade’ movies with Wesley Snipes. In the first few minutes we are given a crash course in how things work in the world of Mr. Vampire. This is a Chinese vampire, and the rules of battle are a little different from the comparatively fruity Western creatures. The opening struggle to sedate the undead is a defining moment in HK movie history, and a wonderful little set piece. Adamm’s Family style music plays as our heroes use martial arts to get the hopping vampires under control. There is an easy test for those new to HK Vampire films – If this scene entertains you, then you’re in for a wild ride, right through to the later movies in the series.

Maybe you could change it into a "hopping vampire collection" and try to add the rest of the movies? I don't know how many of them are there, but you could certainly add "Robo Vampire" then.

Looked into the jitters, thats an american rip off like you said, theres a few 2nd hand vhs copies for sale on amazon but I dont have the hardware for VHS ripping. Fancy having another go at ripping your old tape ? hehe
I have all those Malignus except ultimate vampire which isnt available to buy anywhere but was posted as 2 DAT files in 2004 on ACF & here, completely dead & reshare requests are fruitless.

Update your collection with those. Maybe somebody spots the missing links and will rip the movies himself.

In your Collection Details tab hit that and look for a box that says Create tables for unavailable movies...after that is checked it should all show up
